Question: What is the minimum
hardware specifcation for Windows Vista? |
|
|
Answer: As with most software developers they give you the absolute minimum requirement to run that game/program. This requirement will allow the program/game to run but it will be painfully slow. In the case of Windows Vista, Microsoft give the following for the minimum requirements: |
| CPU: |
800Mhz or Higher CPU |
| Memory: |
512Mb |
| Optical Drive: |
DVD-ROM |
| Graphics Card: |
DirectX 9 Compatible |
| Storage: |
40Gb Hard Drive, with 15Gb Free Space |
Those specifications will run Vista Basic Edition ok, but it wouldnt be anything special. As for all the other versions with the Aero interface this specification PC will struggle.
We suggest that the minimum requirement to run Vista adequately, is as follows: |
|
|
| CPU: |
1Ghz Modern CPU, AMD64, Pentium 4 HT |
| Memory: |
1Gb Non-Gaming PC, 2 Gb Gaming PC |
| Graphics Card: |
128MB DirectX9 Compatible Card, Pixle Shader 2 |
| Optical Drive: |
DVD-ROM |
| Storage: |
40Gb or Higher with 15Gb free space |
